We have merged

In early summer 2018, St Nicholas Group Practice merged with Rosehill Surgery and Manchester Road Surgery.

We are now BURNLEY GROUP PRACTICE. All phone numbers, patient access etc. remains the same.

This will not affect your care and we hope that this will improve your patient experience.

Patients will retain access to their usual doctor (subject to availability) and will have the flexibility to attend either St.Peters Centre or Manchester Road Surgery.

We strive to offer a high standard of care to all of our patients with professionalism and empathy.

We are informing you that you have a named GP who is accountable for your care. However, when making appointments you can still see any GP of your choice.

Please help us to improve our online services & further develop the website by providing feedback to us, or please help us to develop the practice by getting involved through our patient reference group.

Thank you for using our services.

Burnley Group Practice - Repeat Prescriptions

repeats.gifDo you need to re-order your medication?

On the 29th August 2017 the way you order a prescription will change.

Following audits of repeat prescription ordering and in efforts to reduce wastage of medicines, East Lancs Clinical Commissioning Group (EL CCG) are supporting practices to cease accepting third party prescription ordering from local pharmacies.

In other areas this new repeat prescribing procedure has resulted in reduced wastage and has also helped to free up practice time. The CCGs Medicines Management Team is currently working with St. Nicholas Group Practice to implement the new system which promotes patient empowerment and ownership of repeat medication needs.

From 29th August 2017 repeat prescriptions can be ordered in the following ways:

In Person, simply post your request in the box located outside St. Peters Pharmacy or call into our reception.

By Royal Mail post, send your request along with a stamped addressed envelope to the surgery.

Emis Access - please ask our reception team if you wish to register for this service. Or click

The  simple online form
